I had such a great time trying on these super fun styles that Lilly Pulitzer sent and I am saving them to a highlight on my Instagram for this month in case anyone wants to reference that while shopping around. I know it is so helpful for me to see how clothes fit on others when I’m on the hunt, and I think I am loving it even more these days since we’re all leaning into online shopping and curbside pick up as much as possible!
It is hard for me to pick my favorite from the bunch, but the Camille is a stand-out for sure. A completely new style to me that hits all the high notes with the off-the-shoulder design and perfectly lady-like length. Not to mention the crisp and cool fabric is perfect in our Florida summer!
The Ophelia is my go-to silhouette and I will never tire of singing her praises! When the XXL is available, that is what I wear, but I also wear the XL it ends up just being a little bit tighter and shorter, but not terribly so. I linked the print It Was All A Dream that I showed in stories down along with the other current prints. This print matches the girls shift dresses (here is the baby version too) and their sweet swimsuits and cover ups that match Curtis too!
Speaking of the girls shift dresses, I’ve been buying these for Margaret for 5 years. Catherine is now wearing Margaret’s which means they’ve survived and thrived over years of toddler wear – in some cases we’ve lent them out to friends, so Catherine is the third or fourth wearer- and they hold up SO well. The baby shifts come with bloomers and for the first time Catherine is starting to wear the size 2, which I cannot believe! She still fits in her 18-24M but as far as buying from here on out, we’ll be grabbing the size 2 for her. The XS fits pretty well in most non-numbered sizes, and Margaret is in a small for most things but soon will be a Medium!
Back to the Ophelia style, my mom asked if there are any “neutral” versions of the Ophelia and there are! This one is for you Mom! The navy of course would be my choice, and the black is such an easy one to throw on and punch up with accessories. But also Mom if you’re reading, you can totally rock any of these prints! Go for it!
The Parigi Maxi dress with the tassel sleeves is SO fun and it is safe to say I have always been tassel obsessed. I am wearing the XL comfortably and can say it would be perfect for a growing baby bump, is generous for postpartum bodies, and is even nursing friendly!
I linked some accessories below and want to highlight the earrings because they are such a fun statement size but are SO LIGHT! I love big earrings but I cannot handle really heavy ones. These are a win in that category and I just love the palm fronds. The wicker purse with the gold shell is such a treasure. I love wicker anywhere any how and especially when it makes it way to my accessories. The reflective sunglasses make me feel instantly cooler and it is such an easy way to change up my look. Curtis loves the men’s swim suits and the tend to sell out quickly, so he doesn’t hesitate to add to his collection especially if it matches the girls. He wears the XXL in these, as well as in the coordinating polo. Margaret gets such a thrill over matching with any of us, and he loves indulging that. I love how these cover-ups match their one piece swim suits too.
Another dress style I hadn’t yet tried for myself is the Kristen. I love the navy and white Krillin’ It, but there are two other prints including my current obsession, Lilly State of Mind. I am wearing an XXL which is loose and easy, the way I like to wear dresses like this. I have a feeling it is cut similarly to the Ophelia and that an XL would also work but haven’t yet tried it.
It is always a joy to try on and share these happy styles. I am a life-long Lilly Pulitzer fan and absolutely love connecting with fellow Lilly lovers in this space! I appreciate that they are continuously working toward offering extended sizes in so many of their cuts and styles, and I have so much joy especially matching my girls – and seeing Curtis do the same – while they’ll let us!
