Whether you’re poolside, beach side, or just plain outside, more than ever we need a tool box of sweat, insect, and germ busting tricks up our sleeves. Speaking of sleeves, this Cabana Life tunic is the cutest new addition to my cover-up repertoire. I just love the tassels and embroidery and the navy, white and gold motif is a classic, and especially perfect for summer. I wasn’t sure the L/XL would work for me but when they sent it down I was thrilled to find it fits perfectly! Looking at the pictures I can practically hear the waves on the shore at The Gasparilla Inn and Club. Sarah Tucker, Sarah Hunt Hinson and I had the best day exploring the area and are counting down until we can return!
In addition to a cute cover-up, these Mega Babe products are keeping the heat induced sweat and chaffing problems at bay. These bug repellent wipes are now frequently in my bags since most all of my socializing is outside! These are easy to pack and get the job done! Hand sanitizing is self-explanatory and a must, where ever you are, and this spray makes it easy.
The SkipHop wet bags linked below are true MVPs. We’ve had our for years and it’s perfect for wet suits, swim toys, and goggles! Hydration is key so we pack these powdered Pedialyte tubes in our bags to help our girls (and ourselves) and watermelon is our favorite hydrating snack for any outdoor activity. Ice cold from the cooler is the best treat! We’ve recently started using Turkish towels because they take up way less space, and totally get the job done while being cute and affordable! We now are packing detangler spray and a brush to get a head start on any tangles from the pool or ocean. Then since we’re always over-packing, the LandsEnd tote is a must. It will last years and years and holds everything you could need. They’re currently 40% off too!
This round up below includes our favorite goggles that don’t pull hair and have super cute straps! Margaret has also taken to practicing snorkeling in the pool and at the beach and this gear is working out great. Catherine isn’t quite there but these hats, floats and toys keep her covered, cute and happy!
My #1 tip – pack Ziplocs. Put them in your diaper bag, beach bag, car center console – they have saved me so many times! They’re great for tricky trash, even blow outs. They save extra snacks and collect treasures. Don’t forget these next time your’re packing up!
This gear below is all Curtis approved and he is a tough sell. The cooler back pack keeps our hands free and holds a ton. The waterproof speaker is perfect for blasting Frozen 2. The tent keeps us shaded whether we’re at the beach or in a back yard. And the wagon is key for our chronic over-packing! Possibly the big standout is this portable pump for all of those floaties you need to blow up and are about to pass out just thinking about it!
Whatever fun outside plans you have for this summer, there is something in this round-up for you!
